I've had my convertible for a while and always dreaded washing it because I was never sure if I was doing it right, especially the fabric roof. I finally came across a really clear
step-by-step vehicle cleaning guide that explains everything from start to finish. It breaks down the whole process, starting with an important first rinse to remove dust and sand so you don't scratch the paint. Then it goes through cleaning the roof with special products, washing the body using the two-bucket method, careful drying with microfiber towels, and finally polishing and applying protectants. It even covers interior cleaning. Following it made the whole task much less stressful and the results were way better than my usual haphazard approach. My question for other owners is, how often do you do a full deep clean like this versus just a quick maintenance wash? And do you apply a fabric protectant to the roof every time, or just occasionally? I'm trying to figure out a sustainable routine.
