Valium is a benzodiazepine-class anxiolytic medication. Valium is a prescription-only drug used to treat anxiety disorders or symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety or tension induced by everyday stress does not generally warrant the use of an anxiolytic. Please, however, do not use Valium daily to prevent attacks.
